Meet DJ Jay C known as MrVersatility
My specialty is weddings, corporate events and birthdays. Those events allow me to get personal with the guests and my clients. Unlike at a club/bar setting I am able to play all types of music and genres.
DJ Jay C, also known as MrVersatility, has been spinning records since 1994, professionally stepping into the scene in 1996. During his career, he also served as DJ Manager at Allstar DJ Service under the leadership of DJ Sir Thurl. His passion for deejaying was sparked by listening to radio mix shows and DJs’ smooth transitions between songs, particularly DJ Kut, who became his mentor. DJ Jay C started his career by assisting DJ Kut, carrying records, and setting up equipment, eventually developing into a seasoned DJ himself.
One of the most notable moments in DJ Jay C’s career was deejaying the Battle of the Bands at the Edward Jones Dome in 2004, where he entertained over 8,000 fans between performances. He has worked with numerous national recording artists and comedians throughout his career.
Known for his versatility, DJ Jay C excels at reading crowds and adapting his music selection to suit every event. From weddings and corporate events to birthday parties, his diverse range of musical genres, including country, Latin, reggae, Top 40, Hip Hop, and R&B, ensures every client’s event is unforgettable. His ability to play a mix of music and cater to different tastes has earned him the title of MrVersatility.
Over the years, DJ Jay C has received multiple awards from Allstar DJ Service for his client referrals, positive reviews, and overall excellence. He is particularly proud of his long-standing relationships with repeat clients, some of whom have booked him for over a decade.
In addition to his professional achievements, DJ Jay C gives back to his community by donating DJ services to nonprofit organizations annually. Looking ahead, he plans to mentor up-and-coming DJs and expand his services to other markets, with the vision of managing a fleet of DJs across different regions.
